• Payment information submitted through BESSPay — note that card data is handled by hosted payment fields, and BESS never stores raw card data

• Contact lists and messaging data uploaded to BESSSMS

BESSPay uses hosted payment fields powered by CyberSource and PowerTranz. Card data is collected directly by the payment gateway providers — BESS does not store, process, or transmit raw cardholder data. Our payment infrastructure is architected to PCI-DSS SAQ A compliance standards.

Contact lists uploaded to BESSSMS are used solely to deliver messaging campaigns as instructed by the account holder. BESS does not use client contact data for its own marketing. All opt-out/STOP requests are processed automatically in compliance with applicable messaging regulations.

We work with a limited number of trusted third-party service providers to operate our business. These include payment gateway providers (CyberSource, PowerTranz), messaging infrastructure providers (Twilio), and website hosting and analytics services. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the service and are bound by appropriate data protection agreements.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Consultation enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months. Client project data is retained for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable archival period as agreed in the client contract.

BESS applies enterprise-grade security practices aligned to NIST CSF and OWASP standards. These include encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, logical environment separation (Dev/Staging/Production), and regular security assessments. While we take every reasonable precaution, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
